Petrina Constantinou

Research Assistant

Imperial College London

Petrina is a Research Assistant at the Transport Systems Laboratory, and a PhD student under the supervision of Professor Washington Ochieng.

After completing her MEng in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London, she joined the Centre for Transport Studies (CTS), where she is funded by an EPSRC Doctoral Training Grant. Her research focuses on Multi-sensor data fusion for autonomous vehicle (AV) situational awareness.

She is particularly interested in AV localization and the development of systems that provide holistic PNT information of high accuracy, integrity, availability and continuity.

As part of her research, Petrina has been developing a high-level functional system architecture to support AV operations, specifically focusing on components that require position, navigation and timing (PNT) information.
