Felix Feng
Biography
Felix (Yuxiang) Feng is a Research Fellow and the lab’s Laboratory Manager. He develops configurable automotive system models that simulate vehicle motion and interactions with other road users, and uses them to assess and validate autonomous vehicle safety.
Before joining TSL, Felix obtained a PhD in the Powertrain and Vehicle Research Centre at the University of Bath. He also received an MSc in Mechatronics from the same institution, and a BEng in Mechatronics from Tongji University.
His doctoral research used personalised driver models to investigate how driving style affects fuel consumption. He calibrated the models using machine learning and observed driving data, and evaluated them using a procedure based on the WLTC driving cycle.
