Haodong He

PhD Student

Biography

Haodong He is a PhD student at the Transport Systems and Logistics Laboratory (TSL), Imperial College London, supervised by Prof Panagiotis Angeloudis. His research focuses on world models and planning for autonomous robots operating in dynamic and partially observable environments. He is interested in how learned predictive models can provide compact, decision-relevant abstractions of uncertain future dynamics, enabling safe, efficient, and long-horizon decision-making in robot navigation.

Before joining Imperial, Haodong received his BEng in Engineering Mechanics with a minor in Software Engineering from Tongji University. He worked as a research assistant at the National University of Singapore with Prof Guillaume A. Sartoretti and at Carnegie Mellon University with Prof Maxim Likhachev. His previous research spans multi-robot motion planning, reinforcement learning, and planning under partial observability.
