Kate Jack

Biography

Kate is a PhD student working on resilience in future mobility systems. Her research develops a quantitative framework for assessing how ready transport infrastructure is for combined physical and cyber risks.

Kate has more than 20 years of experience in leadership roles in telecommunications, energy and smart mobility. As Global Sector Lead for Smart Mobility at Stantec, she established its smart mobility business in North America and led projects on connected autonomous transit systems and integrated mobility hubs. Her work includes electric vehicle infrastructure, vehicle-to-grid energy systems and travel planning software intended to reduce reliance on private cars.

Previously, Kate held senior roles in autonomous vehicle companies and led innovation strategies at Innogy and RWE, managing venture portfolios and advising governments on smart city initiatives.
