Biography

Kate is a Research Postgraduate at Imperial College London, focusing on resilience in future mobility systems. Her research aims to develop a quantitative framework to assess infrastructure readiness against combined physical and cyber risks, supporting robust and secure transport ecosystems.

Kate brings over 20 years of global leadership experience in telecommunications, energy, and smart mobility. As Global Sector Lead for Smart Mobility at Stantec, she built a new sector across North America, exceeding revenue targets and delivering pioneering projects, including connected autonomous transit systems and integrated mobility hubs. Her work spans EV infrastructure design, vehicle-to-grid energy solutions, and software platforms enabling personalized travel experiences to reduce private car dependency.

Previously, Kate held senior roles in autonomous vehicle companies and led innovation strategies at Innogy and RWE, managing venture portfolios and advising governments on smart city initiatives. She is a passionate advocate for sustainable, technology-driven mobility.
